We love to create. Not just make things but inspire and practice creativity. As such LumberJimEP creator, Jim Ramos pursues a pastime as a wood worker and enjoys making a variety of things. Here we go over what we make and give plans and advice so others can learn and possibly recreate some of the items themselves.

Author

Jim Ramos, Ph.D. works on his woodworking, when he is able to. He sometimes interacts with real people, of which he loves some.  He also has a real job, that he also loves. But mostly he is staring off at the horizon, trying to decide if the fart he is holding in will be silent or not. Is it worth risking…

Jim has over seven years of experience as a university Academic Program Director, Associate Dean and Professor in higher education. He has gained expertise in helping students succeed from enrollment through graduation and employment seeking. As the director of general education courses, Jim has helped students make the exciting transition from whatever they were doing before to being a student in higher education. He has regularly taught first term courses and works with students as hands-on as possible.

Jim earned a B.S. in Bioengineering from Rice University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University. In his doctoral work he explored applications of nanoparticles as multi-modal gene delivery and imaging platforms.
